Food is fuel for our bodies. What we choose to put in it, determines how well we operate, physically and mentally. Let me help you perform at your best with nutrition counseling.
Living life in your best self is vital and key to overall happiness. There are six pillars of health and wellness; Emotional, Intellectual, Spiritual, Occupational, Social and Physical. Without these strong pillars, we'd fall. Health & Wellness Coaching can help support and build these pillars.
Every week I post new, healthy recipes and health and wellness tips on my FB and IG page. These are helpful little reminders to keep you on track on your health journey.
Health and Wellness are often words that are used interchangeably, but are actually quite different. Health is not just the absence of disease, it is considered to be the state of undiminished physical, mental and social well-being. Where as, wellness is the advocacy of health through self-healing, and prevention of illness. Attaining health and wellness is a dynamic lifelong process in which the choices made has the potential to affect it positively or negatively.
Coaching is a collaborative process between coach and client to unlock their potential. It's about inspiring, empowering, and enabling individuals to look to the future while actively and intentionally being in the present. A good coach will help someone learn about themselves, versus teaching them.
I am a firm believer that each individual is the expert of themselves. As a coach, I aim to help each individual reach their full health potential by customizing each session specific to each person and their needs. Everyone is unique and what works for one, doesn't always work for another. During coaching sessions we will get to know each other and work together to set SMART goals, identify barriers, problem solve, explore strategies for change, promote strengths and celebrate successes!

" I am so glad that I found Megan and Pursuite Coaching! Megan is very focused and has in-depth knowledge of nutrition and exercise. I had three months of meal planning that she did for me and the recipes did not disappoint, lots of fun ways to eat different things (ask about her sweet potato and pomegranate salad that is amazing!) She is extremely upbeat and has so much motivation to guide you through your health and nutrition journey. You can be very upfront with Megan and not feel ashamed, which was key for me. She is very caring and always has her clients best interests in mind. I would recommend Megan to anyone looking to improve their nutrition and overall health. You will not be disappointed! "

"Coach Hamrick did a great job of instructing our girls with warm-up stretches, proper exercise form and technique, and important cool-down activities. She even went the extra mile to include information about proper nutrition and healthy lifestyle choices. If you're looking for someone who can connect with your kids regarding fitness and an overall healthy lifestyle, I highly recommend Coach Megan. "

Father of two headstrong female athletes.
I have been intrigued and passionate about health most of my life. It started when I was a young athlete, I saw and felt the benefits of hard work, exercise and healthy eating habits. This prompted and inspired my career path. I completed my Associates Degree as a Physical Therapist Assistant in 2004 and instantly fell in love with helping individuals meet their physical goals. In 2019 I earned my Bachelor's Degree as a Physical Therapist Assistant with a plan to go onto graduate school to earn my doctoral degree as a Physical Therapist. As I began the process of applying to graduate schools, I started to re-evaluate what I truly wanted to do and how I wanted to help people. I realized that I wanted to help the "whole" person, not just their injury. I became a Certified Holistic Nutritionist and Certified Health and Wellness Coach to do just that! My extensive background in physical therapy combined with numerous professional certifications and continuing education courses gives me a wide lens to look at a person and help them meet their health goals.
When I'm not working, I enjoy staying active and busy with my family. I have a wonderful and supportive husband and two amazing sons. Together, we love to cook, play games, hike, bike, camp, fish and watch movies.
My favorite way to start the day is getting up early and enjoying a cup of coffee. I am a PNW girl through and through and enjoy a nice rainy day, but my favorites are the beautiful summer days and all that the PNW has to offer.
